About this gift
Two of the best-loved Hindu goddesses appear in these brass miniatures: Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity and abundance, and Saraswati, goddess of wisdom, learning, music and the arts. They are devotional and decorative art for an altar or a sacred art collection.
Lakshmi, also spelt Laxmi, comes in three sizes: 30 mm and 11 g, 37 mm and 22 g, or 49 mm and 52 g. Saraswati comes at 34 mm and 22 g or 49 mm and 52 g, holding her veena, a stringed instrument. The 49 mm Saraswati has an Om symbol on the back, and the 49 mm Lakshmi a polished antique finish.
Kept on an altar or a desk, a figure like this is a daily reminder of the goddess it shows. Brass gives it a warm colour, and the fine detail reflects traditional Indian metalwork. A small, respectful piece of devotional art to keep close.
A good gift for: hindu devotees, collectors of sacred art, students, musicians and artists.
