Hemp bags, tie-dye and sarongs explained

Hemp is a strong natural fibre from the hemp plant: a hemp bag is hard-wearing and softens with use. Tie-dye is a hand-dyeing method that twists or folds the cloth before dyeing, so no two pieces are exactly alike. An embossed purse has its design pressed into the surface, so you can feel the pattern.

A sarong, also called a pareo, is a long piece of light cloth you tie as a skirt, a dress or a beach cover-up. Bamboo socks are knitted from bamboo viscose, a soft, smooth yarn.

Which bags & clothing should I buy first?

Good first picks are the Nomad Sari Jacquard Toiletry Bag, the Nomad Sari Jacquard Bags and the Jacquard Hobo Bag with Strap. Prices start at £2.99. Every item shows its size, its delivery cost and when to expect it.

What is a hippie bag?

A hippie bag is a casual cotton, hemp or jute bag in a bright or earthy design: tie-dye, mandala, patchwork or embroidery. Ours include shoulder and messenger bags, bum bags, sling bags and backpacks, and each page gives the size.

Can I return clothes that don't fit?

Yes. Tell us within 14 days of delivery and send the item back unworn, in its original packaging, for a refund. Every clothing page gives the size, so you can check the fit before you order.

What is the difference between a purse and a wallet?

In the UK, a purse is a small pouch for coins and cards, often with a zip or a clasp; a wallet folds flat, with slots for cards and notes. Our embossed purses and wallets come in gothic, fantasy and witchy designs.
