About this gift
Peering out from the wood, the Green Man has looked down from old church walls for centuries. This carving shows his 'Man of the Wood' face, made for anyone who loves folklore and nature.
Each is carved from offcuts of Chinaberry (jempinis) and hibiscus trunks, so every carving is unique. Choose the large size, 25 x 19 x 7 cm, or the small one, 16 x 11 x 5 cm. It works indoors or out and looks especially good in a garden, a conservatory or on a patio.
In folklore, the Green Man is a symbol of wild growth and the return of summer, and many pagans honour him at Beltane and Midsummer. Out among the summer flowers, his face looks right at home. For anyone who loves the old stories of the woods, he is a gift with real character.
A good gift for: gardeners, pagan friends, folklore lovers.
