About this piece
Tarot cards written as positive affirmations: this 78-card deck by Colette Baron-Reid gives each card a present-tense message instead of a forecast, instruction or warning. It suits tarot beginners and experienced readers who want a different voice from classic decks.
The four elements replace the traditional suits: Air stands in for Swords, Water for Cups, Earth for Pentacles and Fire for Wands. Each message is a present-tense statement, such as 'I can go the distance' on Strength. The 78 cards are illustrated by Jena DellaGrottaglia.
Traditionally, tarot is laid out in a spread and read for guidance on a question. Its layout stays close to classic tarot, so your favourite spreads still work, and the listed size is 138 x 100 x 54 mm. Shuffle The Good Tarot, lay out your first spread and read what each affirmation says to your question.
Great for: tarot beginners, tarot readers, lovers of affirmations, witchy friends.
