Spanish wild marjoram has a hairy stem, oval leaves and little whitish flowers in clusters, and the whole plant gives off a strong aroma. This 50 ml essential oil is steam distilled from its leaves and flowering tops.
The plant is Thymus mastichina, a wild growing thyme from the lamiaceae family. It is not the same as sweet or French marjoram, and it is not oregano, so check the Latin name when you collect single oils. Use it in an oil burner, for scent only, never to eat, drink or put on skin.
