About this piece
Mandala patterns and the Om symbol meet on this happy drum, a steel tongue drum you play with mallets. The design is detailed and mandala-inspired, centred on Om, a sacred sound in Indian traditions.
Soft, clear tones come easily, even to beginners, and the note layout is intuitive, so simple melodies are quick to find. It measures 14 x 14 x 10 cm and is compact and lightweight, so it goes with you indoors or out. Mallets and a protective carry bag are included.
Om is a sacred sound in Hindu and Buddhist tradition, so this drum suits musicians who like the symbol as much as the sound. Play it at home or outdoors, freely or by finding a tune, and simply enjoy the sound.
A good gift for: music beginners, mandala lovers, meditation fans, drum collectors.
