About this gift
Sepia tones and an intricate baroque border give this antiqued beige spirit board an aged, heirloom look. Designed by artist Lisa Parker, it comes with its own planchette, the small pointer that moves across the board. A fine first board for a curious beginner, and a handsome piece for a collector of occult art.
The board is made from wood, and the planchette is plastic. The alphabet is marked out in an arc, along with the numbers 0 to 9 and the words YES, NO and GOODBYE. A warning to use it with caution sits on the board too, a nod to the care spirit board lore asks for.
Talking boards are traditionally used for divination, with sitters resting their fingertips lightly on the planchette as questions are asked. Between sessions, its antiqued design makes striking gothic décor. For anyone who wants a board with real character, this one looks the part.
A good gift for: occult collectors, gothic décor lovers, witchy friends, divination beginners.
