About this gift
Akina is a young fairy caught in a quiet moment, sitting on the green ground with her eyes closed in the midday sun. The figurine is cast in resin and painted by hand. She is a fine gift for fans of fairies, fantasy art and folklore, made for a mantelpiece or side table.
Her purple dress is trimmed with frills, and her long dark hair falls over her shoulders onto her wings. Those wings take centre stage, large and bright, in the purple and blue floral palette of the piece. Hand painting gives every detail its colour.
In folklore, fairies are the hidden folk of meadows and woodland, and many pagans give them a place on a seasonal altar, especially in spring and at Beltane, the May Day festival. For anyone who feels the pull of fairy lore, she is a sweet, sunlit piece to come home to.
A good gift for: fairy lovers, fantasy fans, pagan friends, figurine collectors.
