## About this gift

Ylang ylang organic essential oil comes from the strongly fragrant yellow flowers of a large tree native to far eastern countries like Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. It suits anyone who scents a room with an oil burner or diffuser.

Two sizes are available, 10ml and 50ml. The 50ml size is listed as Cananga odorata, steam distilled from the flowers. Steam distillation is a way of drawing oil from plant material using steam. It is for fragrance use only, not for eating, drinking, smoking or putting on skin.

Its name means "flower of flowers" in Malay. In Indonesia the flowers were traditionally strewn on the marriage bed of a newly married couple, and Muslim women used to burn the oil to scent the women's quarters of the palace. A fragrant oil with a story behind it, for anyone who likes to know where a scent comes from.
