## About this gift

Real craft shows in this wooden elephant, carved by hand and finished in white and turquoise with a touch of golden glitter. It brings colour to a shelf, a mantelpiece or a sideboard, and makes a fine gift for an elephant lover or anyone who admires skilled woodwork.

The elephant is hand carved from Albesia wood, a fast-growing tree found across South East Asia. It measures 8 x 27 x 24 cm, a good size for a statement piece. As each one is made by hand, its colour, design and size vary a little, so yours is a one-off.

In many traditions, the elephant stands for wisdom, courage, stature and strength. Choose this one for a handmade piece with bright colours and a maker's touch you can see in every line.
