## About this gift

Rough-cut and earthy red, this raw red jasper pendulum has a more natural look than a polished one. A pendulum is a stone on a chain used in dowsing, the old practice of asking a question and reading its swing. It is a handsome first tool for a beginner and a good piece for a crystal collector.

The stone is left unpolished and wrapped in a silver-tone spiral, then hung from a fine chain. It measures 23 x 2 cm. Each pendulum is sold singly, and each stone is unique, so shape, colour and natural markings vary.

Dowsing traditionally works this way: hold the chain still, ask a clear question and watch the swing. Some keep it near during meditation; others give it a place in a crystal collection. For anyone drawn to raw stones, its rough red finish gives it real character.
