## About this gift

At 1.5 m, this statue becomes the heart of any space it stands in. The Buddha sits in meditation inside a stupa, a dome-shaped Buddhist shrine, in turquoise and stone, for a collector of Buddhist art or a large meditation space.

Fibre cement forms this stupa, which measures 150 x 127 x 73 cm, a true statement piece for a generous space.

In Buddhist tradition, a stupa is a place of devotion, and the Buddha in meditation is one of the best known images in Buddhist art. Shown here as devotional art, never a lucky ornament, it gives a large space a striking and respectful centre.
