## About this gift

Folklore lovers will know this face at once: the Greenman, carved straight into a natural upright branch. In folklore the Greenman is a face of the woods and wild places, and this handmade piece of parasite wood keeps the branch's own shape and grain as part of its design.

The carving measures 9 x 7 x 21 cm, compact enough for a shelf or desk yet tall enough to stand out. The face is carved in detail, but the wood still leads. Because the natural wood shapes every piece, each one varies slightly in tone and form, so yours is one of a kind.

The Greenman is strongly associated with nature, renewal and folklore, which makes him a fitting figure for a pagan altar, a rustic room or a garden-themed display. A small piece of woodland folklore, shaped as much by the tree as by the carver.
