## About this gift

A raven-haired fairy and a black serpent share the stage in Guardians Embrace, a large dark fairy ornament by Nemesis Now. It is made for fans of gothic and fantasy art who like their fairies with a dangerous edge.

She wears a purple dress caught in the breeze and dark purple gloves that reach above the elbow. The serpent coils around her legs and rears up behind her and over her head. One hand strokes its neck, the other holds a single red rose, and purple and black wings stretch out behind her. The piece is cast in resin and painted by hand.

In northern European folklore, a wyrm is a serpent-like dragon that guards treasure in old tales. Here the fairy holds one close, and the red rose is the only splash of warmth among the purple and black. For a collector of dark fantasy, it is a bold centrepiece.
