## About this gift

Handmade on the island of Lombok in Indonesia, this Greek taper vase brings the earthy warmth of terracotta into a room. Its chocolate colour and tapering form suit a home that loves natural, handmade decor.

Terracotta is a type of clay, and this vase is shaped from it by hand. It measures 31 x 15 cm, with a narrow neck about 4 cm wide inside. It can hold flowers, plants or other decorative items, indoors or outdoors, but it is not waterproof, so it is for display rather than water.

Lombok ceramics are a fine example of the traditional art of Indonesian pottery, and collectors prize them. For anyone who loves handmade pottery with a story behind it, this chocolate taper vase is a warm, grounded piece to live with.
