## About this gift

Tea leaf reading needs a cup with something to say, and this fortune telling teacup has plenty. Made for reading tea leaves, it suits a tarot reader, a curious beginner or a friend who loves a cosy cup with a little mystery.

The cup is new bone china, decorated with fortune telling and astrological symbols accented in gold foil and the words 'Mysterious things I see when telling fortunes in tea'. A contrasting black saucer completes it. It holds 390 ml, measures 7.5 cm tall, 18.5 cm wide and 18 cm deep, and weighs 645 g. It comes in a colour cardboard box with polystyrene.

Also called tasseography, tea leaf reading is a traditional way of telling fortunes: once the tea is finished, the reader looks for shapes in the leaves left behind. For anyone drawn to this old art, here is a beautiful cup to begin with.
