## About this gift

Solid brass Buddha figures, handcrafted in small batches in Old Delhi, India, bring devotional art to an altar, a desk or a bedside table.

A mudra is a symbolic hand gesture in Buddhist art. Lying Down 10cm shows the reclining Buddha entering Parinirvana. Blessing 7.5cm and Blessing 15cm raise the right hand in the Abhaya Mudra. Hands Down 11.5 cm reaches down in the earth-touching Bhumisparsha Mudra, and Amitabha 9.5 cm rests both hands in the lap in the Dhyana Mudra. Thinking 6.5 cm rests his head on his hand, Hands Up 7.5 cm raises his hands high, and Medium Head 8 cm and Large Head 11.5 cm show the head alone.

Red and turquoise stone-style accents add colour to the robes, or to the base and head on the head figures. Whichever pose draws you, it is a carefully made piece of Buddhist art to honour at home.
