## About this gift

Thoroughly unimpressed and a little scruffy, this black cat has clearly had a long day as a witch's familiar. In witch lore, a familiar is an animal companion that keeps a witch company in their craft, and the black cat is the best known of them all.

Salem is cast in resin and carefully hand-painted. His fur is scruffy as he sits contemplating life, and on the large 25.5cm figure he sits hunched over. There are three sizes: large 25.5cm, large 32.5cm and small.

Black cats have walked beside witches in folklore for centuries, and they still lead the way at Halloween. Being a familiar is a tough job, and Salem certainly shows it. For any witch in need of a companion, he is a grumpy little character with plenty of personality.
