## About this gift

With its black and white baroque border, this spirit board brings a classic of occult history to a gothic altar or a divination shelf. A spirit board is a board marked with letters, numbers and words, used with a planchette, a small pointer that moves across the board.

The board is made from wood and the planchette from plastic. Intricate baroque designs run round the border, and the alphabet is marked out in an arc with the numbers 0 to 9 and the words YES, NO and GOODBYE. The board also carries a warning to use it with caution.

Spirit boards have long been part of occult practice, used in séances and in divination. For an occult collector or anyone drawn to the old ways of the spirit world, it is a striking board to own.
