## About this gift

Baphomet, the triple-horned Sabbatic Goat, is one of the best-known figures in occult art, and here he becomes a candle holder. A pentagram sits on his head, and above it a small bowl is made to hold a candle. This is a bold piece for a gothic lover or anyone dressing a darker altar.

The holder measures 15.5 cm. It is cast in resin and then painted by hand, and around the base a variety of gothic symbols and imagery complete the design.

In occult tradition, the pentagram is one of the oldest ritual symbols, and the goat-headed Baphomet has become an emblem of the esoteric and the gothic. Lit at night, the candle above his horns brings the whole figure to life. Hand-painted detail and a real candle bowl give it real presence, a gift with character for any collector of the dark and unusual.
