## About this gift

A guardian of the forest tilts her head back, her face raised to the sky. This tree spirit offers up two tealights in her slender hands, as if giving thanks to the gods of the forest.

She is cast in resin and hand-painted, from the blossoming branches that wrap her body to the canopy of leaves that falls from her hair. Each hand holds one tealight, so she is a candle holder for two small flames.

In pagan and folk tradition, trees and the spirits said to live in them are honoured as guardians of the wild. This figure brings that old idea indoors, lit by two small flames. For anyone who feels most at home among trees, she is a gift with a story behind it.
