## About oracle Cards

Oracle decks are freer than tarot. Each one has its own number of cards and its own theme, from moon phases to animals and goddesses. Many readers pull one oracle card a day as a prompt, or add one to a tarot spread.

Lenormand cards are a 36-card deck from a 19th-century tradition, read in short lines of cards. Affirmation cards carry one short sentence each, for a desk or a mirror. Many readers keep an oracle deck beside their tarot: one card drawn each morning is a simple way to start the day with a moment of thought.

## Questions

### How do you use oracle cards?

Shuffle, think of a question or simply the day ahead, and draw one card. Read its picture and words, then the guidebook entry. There are no fixed rules: many people keep a daily card in a journal.

### What are Lenormand cards?

A Lenormand deck has 36 cards with simple pictures, such as the Ship, the House and the Key. They're read in pairs or lines, and many people find them quicker to learn than tarot.
