## About candles

Chime candles are small, about 10 cm tall, and burn for around an hour or two, which is why spell work often uses them. In candle magic each colour has a traditional meaning: green is used in money and abundance rituals, pink in love work, white for almost anything.

Altar and pillar candles burn for longer, for a sabbat or a full moon. Herb and crystal candles are dressed with dried flowers and crystal chips. Use a holder made for the candle's size, and never leave a lit candle alone.

## Questions

### What are chime candles used for?

Chime candles are small taper candles, about 10 cm tall, used in spell work and candle magic because they burn in one sitting. They come in many colours, each linked with its own tradition, and need a chime candle holder.

### What do the colours of spell candles mean?

In candle magic, green is traditionally used in money and abundance rituals, pink and red in love work, black in banishing and white as an all-purpose colour. Traditions differ, so many people follow their own path's colour list.
